What gives you goosebumps? Tingles up your vertebrae?
Not in the horror film way, but in the OMG I want to imprint this moment in my cells because immersed in its wonder, all else fades from awareness.
How often do you get this ticklish visit from wonder?
My goosebumps may be a little on the rare side, but I experience moments every day of all-consuming wonder or profound surrender to gratitude.
What gives me chills?
Endorphins on a run, hearing an owl hoot in the pre-dawn, witnessing animals show love, creating something meaningful, offering my presence to someone who needs to feel seen+heard. Merely a few among many moments, for me.
What do I love to make?
How do I love to create?
Who do I love collaborating with?
What stops me in my tracks?
Tingles often surprise. But they find me when I give myself the freedom to BE unabashedly true to the moment.
When I feel the tingle, everything else can wait.
WHY is the tingle so paramount for me?
it is my shivery soul dance.
Moments that tingle are hot tracks along our truest trajectory.
And those moments are harmonic convergences, if you will, with ENERGIES beyond our own. They shine like fireflies in the evening. Beacons of our YES.
They appear as I swirl with my soul, my mind, my body, in the moments that catch my breath. Wonder, silence, awe, reverence, curiosity, luminance… experienced solo or shared with strangers + co-conspirators.
ENERGY. My key to living along the path of the tingle is to free up my energetic flow. Especially when challenges plop in our path, we can calibrate our attitude towards them, transforming the energy of effort to exuberance. The energy of SHOULDS are restraining.
So how to transform UGH to WOW?
Seasonality—embrace that consistency is not nature’s rhythm, nature lives in cycles, seasons, phases.
TUNE IN—listen to our own inner wisdom as our guide
TRUST in the truth of you
LIVE our truth
SIMPLIFY—clear out the noise. What is your WOW, love, essence, essential?
BEGIN WITH MEANINGFUL—start our days with what brings us meaning. We energize when we devote our focus to what is meaningful and fulfilling to us. Then we can zip through to-dos. If we addressed to-dos first, our energy for meaningful work would be drained.
What gives you the chills? + How do you honor your treasured tingle? I’d love to know.
Thank you for sharing my practice with me.
